Sven B. Schreiber (sbs) So this is one of the two main sources of the wonderful music created by "Thieves' Kitchen". It's sort of a DIY album, where the guitars are real, but everything else is MIDI. Nevermind, it doesn't need a perfect sound to understand if an artist is an excellent composer - and Phil Mercy clearly is. Except for "Pump II", which is too much of a prolonged guitargasm to me, all songs are outstanding, and are longing desperately to be recorded by a real band. Favorite track: Tears.
